FEATURED POET: RADHEY SHYAM

Galatea Resurrects mourns the passing, even as it celebrates the life, of Radhey Shyam. As the following article notes, he was a noted haiku poet. It was an honor and a blessing for him to also try his hand at the hay(na)ku, samples of which we print below:

butterfly
love letter
a blooming bud

*

desire
a signature
on life’s page

*

earth
ever in motion
no boredom

*

gossips
are chewinggums
we do relish

*

grammar
is makeup
of lady language

*

gut
enters my room
without notice

*

humour
like moon
glorifies dark hours

*

kite
in a sky
tail on earth

*

moonlight
love song
to sleeping earth

*

rose
with thorns
song of harmony

*

wants
restless waves
ocean of life

*

war
is kindlier
than terrorized peace

*

wind
a nomad
no permanent house

*

work
done is
signature of time

Galatea Resurrects thanks Rama Kant for alerting us to these wonderful hay(na)ku.
